The Grand "SaaJ" Wedding: Inside Arjun Tendulkar and Saaniya Chandhok’s Royal Nuptials

The cricket world stood still as the "Prince of Cricket," Arjun Tendulkar, tied the knot with his long-time friend and entrepreneur Saaniya Chandhok. In a celebration that felt like a fairytale, the Tendulkar family welcomed their new daughter-in-law with a mix of Maharashtrian grace and Punjabi soul.

The Grand Venue: A 270-Degree Spectacle
The couple chose The St. Regis Mumbai for their big day on March 5, 2026. The highlight was the "SaaJ" (Saaniya + Arjun) themed decor. Guests were stunned by a unique 270-degree center mandap, draped in thousands of white baby’s breath flowers and muted gold silks, allowing every guest a perfect view of the rituals.
The Look: Red, Gold, and Tradition
Stepping away from the pastel trend, the couple went bold and classic:
  • Arjun Tendulkar: Looked regal in a deep red embroidered sherwani by Manish Malhotra.
  • Saaniya Chandhok: Honoured the Tendulkar heritage in a stunning red and gold Maharashtrian-style saree designed by Tarun Tahiliani, complete with a traditional Nath (nose ring).
A Star-Studded Guest List
It wasn't just a wedding; it was a reunion of legends. From MS Dhoni and Yuvraj Singh to Bollywood icons like Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan, the room was packed with India’s elite. Even the Ambani family, who hosted a pre-wedding puja for the couple in Jamnagar, were seen celebrating alongside Sachin and Anjali.
Who is Saaniya Chandhok?
For those wondering about the new member of the Tendulkar family, Saaniya is much more than a "star bahu."
  • She is the granddaughter of industrialist Ravi Ghai (Graviss Group).
  • An LSE graduate and a passionate animal lover, she runs Mr. Paws, a luxury pet spa.
  • Most importantly, she has been a best friend to Sara Tendulkar for years before finding her soulmate in Arjun.
The "Pangat" Experience
True to Sachin’s roots, the wedding lunch was a traditional Maharashtrian Pangat. Guests sat down to a multi-course meal served on banana leaves, featuring authentic delicacies like Puran Poli and Masale Bhaat, a refreshing change from typical buffet-style weddings.
